Georgian
Georgian’s new site is a great example of a fully custom design. It incorporates a modern approach to interaction and user flow while maintaining easy-to-use content management features. The site continues to evolve in terms of accessibility. Overall, the project was an impressive relaunch for a company with a strong technology background.Rebranding
The primary motivation for the project was the adoption of a new look for the Georgian brand. They worked closely with their design team and this brand expression carried through into the new design for the site. We carefully built the color pallete, font structure, and page layouts to support this rebranding. With our familiarity of the underlying data structures that existed on the previous site, we were able to provide the design changes as a theme changeover.

User Experience
Alongside the rebranding, the new site embraced a lot of interactive elements to make the user flow through the site more engaging. A lot of supportive animation takes visitors on a journey through the key content. We worked to ensure a consistency in the animation and most importantly, to make sure any enhancements to the UX didn’t impact site optimization.
Ease of Editing
Under the hood, Georgian.io is still a WordPress site and while making some visual changes to the theme and user experience, we also made some enhancements to the back end. Georgian has a team that updates various areas of content and we wanted to be sure not to hamper any of that workflow. We had the opportunity to improve the workflow by removing a few parts of the data infrastructure that were inconsistent.
Accessibility
Georgian is committed to speaking to the widest audience possible. Part of that commitment comes through making the site as accessible as possible. Part of the challenge of an interactive site is making sure that assistive technology isn’t limited by design enhancements. Georgian has embraced the iterative process that accessibility entails and we continue to look for ways to improve the experience for all users.
Conclusion…
