Who runs Pixel Jar?
Pixel Jar is a small web team in Orange County, California, run by co-owners Jeff Zinn and Brandon Dove since 2004. We build websites, earn Google reviews, and answer calls with AI for service businesses, because your website isn’t your job anymore. It’s ours.
Meet the people behind Pixel Jar
We’re small on purpose. David keeps your project moving day to day, and Jeff and Brandon step in for the heavy stuff. Either way, you’re working with people who know your business by name.

Jeff Zinn
Co-owner
Jeff Zinn co-owns Pixel Jar with Brandon Dove. He works on the quiet leaks that cost small businesses work: missed calls, thin reviews, and websites that ask visitors for the wrong thing.

Brandon Dove
Co-owner
Brandon Dove co-owns Pixel Jar with Jeff Zinn. He has built custom WordPress sites, plugins, and integrations for clients from the Dallas Mavericks to Pilatesology.

David Margowsky, PMP
Project manager
David is the person you’ll hear from most. He keeps your project moving, and he led WordCamp Orange County in 2015 and 2016.

Paxton Hawkins
Website maintenance
Paxton keeps your website safe and running behind the scenes. He checks, double-checks, and fixes the small things before they turn into big ones.
How long has Pixel Jar been around?
Pixel Jar started in 2004, when two coworkers found they shared a love of web development and of pushing what a website could do. WordPress came along in 2007, and we’ve built on it ever since. We’ve stayed small on purpose. The people you meet at the start are the people who do the work, and nobody here will make you feel silly for asking what a plugin is. After 22 years, we’re not going anywhere.
Giving back to WordPress
A lot of what we know, we learned from the WordPress community, so we try to give back. WordCamp is a local conference where people who use WordPress teach each other. Brandon and Jeff were the lead organizers of WordCamp Orange County from 2010 to 2014, then handed it to David for 2015 and 2016. They stayed on the organizing committee until 2019.
My experience with Pixel Jar is that they really become an extension of your own team because they care just as passionately about your project as you do. They have always gone the extra mile to ensure the best result.
